I have posted the pictures of YLs Malaysian outing at YL forum, if you wanna know how me look like, feel free to check it out.
Someone in Taiwan helped me to buy this Taiyou no Uta Taiwan version DVD from 5MUSIC (or you can buy it from YesAsia, slightly expensive), because I tried to register but never receive confirmation email from them. So, THANKS =D
I think this Taiwan version is much better than Japanese version in terms of price and value. But Taiwan version doesn't have guitar pick =P If you wanna buy Japanese version simply because of that guitar pick, good luck to you (maybe some stores still has first press).
Left: Taiwan version (~RM 75), Right: Japan version (~RM 180)
This DVD box consists of 2 DVDs (movie and making of), 10 postcards, and Taiyou no Uta diary written by YUI. The diary was translated into Chinese, the translations sounded correct but somehow I felt that it kinda make dear YUI's writing a little bit childish. Lol. Original text in Japanese sounded fine to me, hmm...
When it comes to dear YUI, me can be quite picky. The first thing I checked was the translation.
Chinese: My name is Amane Kaoru, I love music. I don't have boyfriend. My favourite food is banana. WRONG.
Haven't checked the translation of diary though (not that my Japanese is really good...just being picky lol).
Next, the translation in the DVD.
My favourite banana is food (最喜歡的香蕉是食物). Yay~!!
Oh yea the movie has Chinese and English translations, yet half the price of Japan version. That's why I bought it =D
But they got the lyrics of Good-bye days wrong I think: ~la la la love with you, with extra 'la' and 'love'.
To those who were wondering where is that YUI 'drops her tear' part, I finally found it lol. It is in the making DVD, under behind the scene, last chapter.
One day, dear YUI went to watch Taiyou no Uta full show for the first time. I think she went there by herself, with her backpack and sweater. After the movie finished, she was asked to give comments.
Trying to hide her face (aiks I forgot what she said...I was distracted).
For the making DVD, only Chinese translations, no English.
Then...(click to enlarge)
Don't cry T.T
That was the second time I saw her tears 'dropped' (first was TOKYO PV).
Maybe the third time will be...Budoukan DVD?!
Till then.

Yikes, now that you pointed it out, I can SEE the teardrop. Watched it online and couldnt see it clearly. That dvd version looks nice and pretty worth for money~!
I bought the Hong Kong version for rm40 or so.
I didn't see no problems with the translations in Chinese. As for the English translations, didn't bother.
Just that it didn't come with the making of, postcards and diary.
Are these things any worth?
same here, HK normal edition =x mainly cos i wasn't into YUI at the time haha..
my favourite banana is food LOL
T_T i remember watching that part... it was soo sad seeing YUI cry for reals...
>_< shes even this pretty when she cries!!
yea ugh i just got my JPN premium edition vers. just for collectors...maybe i'll pick up the HK one or maybe not just for the 'wonderful' eng translations?
Why Japan version doesn't have those postcards... =(
Mel: Maybe I'll use this DVD to promote YUI-ism, if not it'll be stuff in my YUI-box forever.
Kee: The making is quite interesting imo. I always like to see off screen YUI, plus the making included interviews, premiere footages, and YUI's teardrop xD
Asuna: I bought this DVD just for the sake of the goodies included lol.
Brad: You're too obsessed xD
gotchi: You got the guitar pick necklace??
Taiwan and HK version are different o.
Helixius: Because they have guitar pick necklace ma.
boo! no my premium edition didn't come with the extra goodies ;__:..only the special feat dvd and the movie itself and the different cover sleeve with the sunflowers...i'm guessing that one is the Limited Edition one?...baah now i'm just kicking myself for not buying the HK versions of both Taiyou no Uta & TYMT dvd...
well i guess it's nice to have them in my little YUI collection that has been exponentially growing these last couple of months lol..
i need to find a part time job or win the lottery soon at this rate...
^ Lol. I need to find a nice place to store my YUI stuff >.< Without attracting all the dusts. No air-conditioning in my house.
my favorite banana is food?... hilarious...
is there a taiyou no uta version where the movie and the making have english translations?... pls, if any1 knows where i can buy it, do tell me... i'm dying to know...
i'm creating/spreading a YUI/taiyou no uta disease in my university right now... i'm happy with my friend's and their friend's reaction to taiyou no uta... one of my friends has downloaded several versions of good-bye days and skyline music videos (made by fans)... and also memorizing the songs in the movie... hah! i'm doping great! congratulate me...
my friends live in dorms so its easier to spread YUIsm... woot for us!!!
Kaiser: Congratulations on successfully spreading YUI-ism =D
As for Taiyou no Uta movie and making English translations, I'm not sure about it.
